To join the Hills Choral Society, while previous choral or singing experience is an advantage, it is not a requirement – the love of singing and ability to hold a tune is enough! We mentor new members and sight singing courses and workshops are available. Our audition process is an informal one with the Music Director making an assessment of which choral part suits you best and what development needs, if any, you have.
Where we meet
The choir meets every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm to practise in the Church Hall of Belair Uniting Church, Sheoak Road Belair, South Australia.
So why not come and try us for a few weeks?
Membership fees
Prior to your audition we ask that you contribute $3.00 for each rehearsal.
Once you have auditioned and been accepted as a choir member the annual membership fee is $145 (for 2023), and (pro rata for a part year depending on the time of joining).
Uniform (for concerts)
- Men: Black trousers and shirts with a blue or green tie; black shoes.
- Women: Black trousers or full length black skirt with a blue or green blouse; black shoes.
