Music Director: Ian Boath

Since mid 2017, Ian has been our Music Director.
Ian is a freelance conductor, composer, arranger and music educator and has worked professionally in Europe, UK and throughout Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Conducting.
In 1994 Ian studied Orchestral Conducting in Siena, Italy with Russian Maestro Ilya Musin and also undertook studies in “Writing Music for Film” with Ennio Morricone.
In Adelaide, Ian has conducted for Opera, Operetta, Musicals, Elder Conservatorium Vocal School, Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus, “Solstice” Jazz Vocal Ensemble and “Table for Seven.”
Ian enjoys spending time with his family and in his spare time is writing an opera.
President: Nicole Moxham

Nicole has been a member of the Hills Choral Society since 2008.
With a wide background in music, she is an enthusiastic member of the Alto section.
Nicole has performed a number of solos over the years, but particularly enjoys being a part of the rich sound of the full choir.
Secretary: Nerelly Lowe

Our Secretary, Nerelly, has been with us since 2001.
She has been in the Soprano section and has been the Choir’s Secretary since 2002.
She also has performed solos at our community concerts and loves being part of the “Choir Family”.

Chris has been a secondary school music teacher and worked with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for 20 years as Education Manager and then Program Director working with artists like Burt Bacharach, Nigel Kennedy and James Morrison. As well as The Hills Choral Society, Chris accompanies students for instrumental exams and The Con Spirito Singers who rehearse at Norwood. He is also one of the pianists with the Belair Uniting Church where we usually rehearse!
